From Wikipedia: The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, commonly known as East Timor (Tetum: Timór Lorosa'e), sits at the transition area between Southeast Asia and Oceania. It lies northwest of Australia in the Lesser Sunda Islands at the eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago. East Timor includes the eastern half of the island of Timor, the Oecussi (Ambeno) region on the northwest portion of the island of Timor, and the small islands of Atauro and Jaco. It is one of only two countries in Asia with a Roman Catholic majority, the other one being the Philippines. Indonesia and East Timor are the only Asian countries reaching south of the Equator, and of them East Timor is the only country entirely in the Southern Hemisphere.
